Update time!
So a lot has happened since last friday. Saturday was the Crew team's first Erg Race of the season. We completely dominated to say the least. I came in second in my division (20 and under lightweights) and managed to drop a minute off of my 2000 meter time which is awesome. So yeah I got a medal and it really made me realize how much i missed being in athletics and competing all the time so it feels great to be back in the game. and then when we got back I had to play at the women's basketball game which made me more exhausted so i ended up missing a great party from what I've been hearing.
Sunday I started working at Chipotle which went well. I've worked twice now and the money is starting to come so i should be able to pay off the tour fee plus some debt to my parents. This week has been extra busy and will continue that way but only a week left till I leave for Dallas and less than a week till my birthday so yay for me!
Peace
Jamie

Haha this is cool
You Are Kermit
Hi, ho! Lovable and friendly, you get along well with everyone you know.
You're a big thinker, and sometimes you over think life's problems.
Don't worry - everyone know's it's not easy being green.
Just remember, time's fun when you're having flies!

I always loved Kermit....mahnamahna!

Ok so long time no update. Let's see...I've been pretty busy with classes lately. I have a pretty hectic schedule as most of you know. Things have been going both well and bad at the same time. I love been involved in so much but at the same time i'm finding out what it's like to have too much going on while in college. Last weekend I went to a toga party with the crew team. That was a blast...nice to go to a party finally. Sunday watched the super bowl with a bunch of friends. I got the ok today from my parents to move into husker courtyards next year which will be sweet. I'm rooming with doug, anthony and zach. We'll have a living room and kitchen which will be nice.
I've been keeping to my resolution of building some muscle mass and I'm starting to slowly see results. Just keep lifting and rowing I guess. Um I have camp this weekend. We are getting a lot of new music including the parade tune, birdland and part of the closer. It should be awesome. Well that's it for me.
Peace
Jamie

Aaaah...i think i'm relaxed again. This weekend went well. It was very relaxing. I did have a few things to do. But overall i enjoyed myself. I woke up around noon yesterday. I played at the men's basketball game which we beat Missouri. I then went with tim, anthony, april and beth to Omaha to see the Omaha symphony perform. The concert was great. We then went to a restaurant where i unknowingly ordered the never ending caesar salad with shrimp and also a side of bufflao wings...needless to say i brought some food home with me. I slept in until 1 today and then went to Chipotle for lunch with beth. I then did theory homework and had quartet practice. Then practiced on my own and did the rest of my homework. So i had a good weekend. February is going to be a busy month. Nest weekend is the super bowl. feb 10-12 is a rehearsal weekend. february 17th is the requim concert. february 18th is the erg race at Creighton. Valentine's day of course and last but not least my BIRTHDAY! woot for being 20...which of course is absolutely pointless but it is ok. Hopefully my parents will be out here for the wind ensemble concert the same week as my birthday so i'll get to see them which will be nice. Oh and by the way my parents are going to hawaii for a week in march...definitely not fair! oh well they both need the break.
Peace
Jamie

Ok so it's been awhile I guess. I've been insanely busy. Classes are bearing down pretty hard right now and I've been fairly unorganized. I've finally created a schedule for the week. Hopefully that helps with my organization.
Crew practice has been hard but is going really well. I really enjoy the sport and I think it's a good match for for me. We've gotten an repertoire for wind ensemble this semester.
Well that's everything in a nutshell. TGIRO is tomorrow, should be fun.
And to leave you all with something special...the lyrics to our ballad this summer.
Peace
Jamie
Long ago and far away
Before the world had come to this
I took for granted how my life would be
Assuming that my freedom would be free

Before these evil shadows fell
I reveled in the light of day
I rarely ever cried
My patience wasn't tried
And heroes never died

But if I had my way, things would be different
Danger wouldn't come from a sky of blue
Choices would be clear
Strangers would be kinder
Love a little blinder
As it saved the day
If I had my way

Every now and then it seems
We live our lives to such extremes
Racing all around, never homeward bound
Losing what we found

But if I had my way, things would be different
No one would believe that a lie was true
Choices would be clear
Wisdom would be heeded
Warnings never needed
This is what I pray
If I had my way

The milk of human kindness
Will seek us out and find us
And color all the words we say

And hearts would come alive, instead of breaking
No one would believe that a lie was true
Angels would appear
Children would be cherished
Hope would never perish
Faith would not be tried
If I had my way
